1. What is the main focus of The Secrets Project?

We want to create a movement for people to share their stories of humanity, connection, struggle, and success.

In doing so, we want to provide a platform for people, from all parts of the world, to help define what it means to be human. By keeping the submissions anonymous, we hope to encourage you to share your story in a space that fosters power and transparency. 

2. Who can submit? 

Anyone  18+ can submit! This project is open to people from all backgrounds and all countries this website is available in. 

3. Is it difficult to get published? 

Not at all. We go through a strict vetting process to ensure the stories submitted are compliant with safety standards and to secure a supportive environment for all participants. Most stories, however, will be published, if the participant grants us permission. 

4.  What is the mission statement of The Secrets Project?

Our mission is to create a transformative movement that fosters a safe and empowering platform for individuals to share their secrets anonymously, breaking down barriers of judgement and stigma, and promoting healing, connection, and understanding among all. Together, we aim to cultivate a community where vulnerability is celebrated, and everyone can find solace in the shared human experience.

5. How is participant confidentiality ensured in The Secrets Project?

To ensure participant confidentiality, we utilize a secure form that allows individuals to share their email addresses exclusively with team members directly affiliated with The Secrets Project. The email data provided, along with any submitted content, will only be used for promotional purposes or to follow up regarding publication, only if the participant indicates their interest. 

If participants choose not to share their email addresses or to opt out of these communications, we will have no identifiable information, ensuring complete anonymity and confidentiality for all submissions. 

6. Will any participant information or stories be published on the website?

Participant stories will only be published on this website if interest is indicated. Following selection for publication, our team at The Secrets Project will reach out directly to the participant using the provided email address. The participant will then decide how much personal information they would like published on our website. 

7. What types of data or stories are being collected in The Secrets Project?

The Secrets Project aims to collect a diverse range of stories from individuals of all backgrounds. We believe that every narrative contributes to a richer understanding of humanity. Our goal is to showcase what happens when barriers of judgement and societal pressures are dismantled, allowing people to authentically express themselves. 

By gathering these unique perspectives, we hope to illustrate the beauty and complexity of human experience, and foster a sense of connection and empathy among all participants.
